Andrew Alleyne, a partner in the law firm of Fasken Martineau’s Technology and Intellectual Property and Corporate Law Practice Groups, was elected as the new President of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers in February 2011.
Dawn Dixon has received the Eva Crawley Award from the U.K’s Association of Women Solicitors (AWS) – its highest honour given for an outstanding contribution to the work of the Association and the advancement of women solicitors.
On Thursday, September 23, 2010, the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers honored those that achieved partnership status in Toronto at Canada’s largest corporate commercial law firms, where black lawyers have been historically the most under-represented.
