Scholarship Fund

LexNoir Foundation, the charitable arm of LexNoir, established the Clyde E. Bailey, Sr. Legal Scholarship Fund to assist to law students throughout the African Diaspora who are dedicated to pursuing a career or interest in international law. Scholarships will be awarded to those students resident in the United States or abroad with outstanding community service, exceptional academic records and strong recommendations. Preference will be given to those applicants who have a well-defined interest in international matters.


The selection of students will be made by the LexNoir Foundation Board of Directors. Awarded funds will be remitted directly to the recipient’s law school of record, when appropriate. Scholarship awards will not be made to any candidate who has not received an unconditional acceptance from an accredited law school or who is not currently enrolled in an accredited law school. Please download an application and return to the address below by April 15 of the year the student plans to enroll. Final award decisions for the initial scholarships will be made by July 31st of each year.

Biography of Clyde E. Bailey, Sr.

Mr. Clyde Bailey was a distinguished patent counsel for Eastman Kodak Company of Rochester, New York. During his illustrious career as a patent attorney he prepared and prosecuted well over 500 patent applications world-wide in diverse technologies. He was a past president of the National Bar Association, past president of the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation board of directors and co-chair of the National African American Drug Policy Coalition.
